This documentary explores waste management in the age of globalization, through the lens of Italy’s Campania region where years of corruption and incompetence have left communities and the environment desperate for help. Through stories told by residents, government officials and professionals tasked with fixing the problem, we examine how this region has suffered, and how citizens are standing together to fight for their land. It tackles the growing illegal trade of waste around the world, as well as possible solutions that might help save this beautiful and bountiful region and others like it from further destruction.
